"Påskbergsvallen was full when Varbergs BoIS FC faced Assyriska FF in one of the early rounds of this year's Superettan. The match was balanced and exciting from start to finish.
In the 22nd minute, Assyriska FF’s David Durmaz received a yellow card for a tough tackle. The first half was evenly matched, but just before halftime, the first goal came. Admir Aganovic nodded in the ball after a well-placed corner from Levon Pachajyan, giving Assyriska FF a 1-0 lead.
In the second half, Varbergs BoIS FC started to apply more pressure and created several dangerous scoring opportunities. In the 65th minute, Varbergs BoIS FC substituted both Filip Svenberg and Sinan Ayranci, and the replacements, Robert Bagger and Nsima Peter, helped to create a higher offensive pressure.
Assyriska FF’s Christopher Brandeborn received his second yellow card in the 75th minute and was sent off. Despite now being down a player, the visitors fought bravely, and Jens Jakobsson received a yellow card a minute later.
Assyriska FF brought on Georg Makdesie and Fuad Hyseni in search of a second goal, but it was Varbergs BoIS FC that managed to score the equalizer in the 90th minute. Robin Tranberg headed in a nice pass from Ibrahim Koroma, and the crowd at Påskbergsvallen exploded.
The match ended 1-1, and both teams left with a point each. Referee Per Melin and his assistant referees Anders Böwing and Pär Lindström officiated the match excellently and maintained good discipline."
