Ljungskile SK secured a resounding victory when they faced Syrianska FC at Skarsjövallen for a Superettan match on Sunday afternoon. The audience of 1,237 watched as Ljungskile took the lead from the penalty spot in the 18th minute through David Johannesson. Syrianska FC were reduced to ten men when Diego Brum was sent off just a few minutes later. In the 33rd minute, Ljungskile doubled their lead as Johannesson found the net again after a nice pass from Jonas Lindberg. Niklas Andersen received a yellow card for the home team in the 38th minute, and Rabi Elia was booked for Syrianska in the 43rd minute.

At half-time, Ljungskile substituted Niklas Andersen for Anton Tideman. The earlier goalscorer Johannesson assisted Lindberg in the 51st minute when Ljungskile scored their third goal. Ken Sema left the pitch for Ljungskile in the 55th minute and was replaced by Peiman Eliassi. Syrianska made two substitutions with Alexander Michel Melki replacing Success Chimankpa Nwosu and Charbel Georges coming on for Igor Santos Koppe in the 59th minute.

Syrianska managed to score in the 70th minute when Nikola Grubjesic assisted Robert Massi, but it had little effect. Ljungskile scored two goals in just ten minutes as Hannes Stiller replaced Johannesson in the 76th minute, and Jakob Olsson and Aleksandar Kitic tore through Syrianska's defense to give Ljungskile two quick goals in the 80th minute. Robbie Massi left the field for Syrianska, replaced by Kevin Bisse in the 80th minute, but this made no difference. Peiman Eliassi scored the fifth and final goal for Ljungskile in stoppage time in the 90th minute. Ljungskile SK won with an impressive 5-1 victory against Syrianska FC, who finished the match with only ten men. The referee for the match was Jim Petersson, with his assistants Albert Andersson and Christian Andersson.
