It was a very exciting match between GIF Sundsvall and GAIS on Sunday evening at Idrottsparken, with 3,014 spectators in attendance. The referee for the match was Per Melin, and the assistants were Pär Lindström and Niklas Alfredsson.

After a tough first half with no goals, GIF Sundsvall took the lead in the eighth minute with a header from Johan Eklund, assisted by Robert Lundström. GAIS then substituted Richard Ntomba Ekunde for Emil Eliasson at halftime, but it could not stop GIF Sundsvall. Kevin Walker scored the second goal for GIF Sundsvall in the fourteenth minute, assisted by Pa Amat Dibba.

GAIS tried to recover by substituting Petrit Zhubi for Ásgeir Börkur Ásgeirsson in the 61st minute, but it did not help against a strong GIF Sundsvall team.
