GIF Sundsvall dominated against Östers IF when they met on Sunday evening at Idrottsparken. The crowd of 2,640 spectators witnessed the home team take a convincing victory with a score of 5-1, with Johan Eklund and Pa Amat Dibba being the standout scorers.

Dibba opened the scoring for GIF Sundsvall in the 20th minute, and ten minutes later, Eklund followed up with a classic goal after a lovely assist from Dibba.

Östers IF reduced the deficit in the 29th minute through Alhaji Gero, but just at the start of the second half, Eklund extended the lead again following a pass from Sebastian Rajalakso. Dibba provided two assists in the match, first finding Eklund again in the 52nd minute and then Kevin Walker, who assisted Eklund's third goal in the 57th minute.

Östers IF tried to make a comeback in the match by bringing on Otto Eriksson and Jonas Hellgren, but they could not change the outcome. Instead, it was Östers IF's Joakim Lindner who received a yellow card in the 92nd minute.

GIF Sundsvall took a well-deserved victory and continues to stay at the top of Superettan.
