Last Saturday, an exciting match took place between GAIS and Varbergs BoIS FC at Gamla Ullevi. In front of 4,850 spectators, GAIS stood in 13th place in the table and Varbergs BoIS FC in 6th place.

It was GAIS who took the lead in the match when Petrit Zhubi scored after a pass from Mirza Mujcic in the 12th minute. Varbergs BoIS FC faced additional challenges when Joakim Wulff received a red card in the 26th minute.

GAIS then extended their lead when Ariel Lassiter converted a penalty in the 29th minute. Varbergs BoIS FC desperately tried to catch up but failed to create any dangerous attacks.

In the second half, both teams made substitutions, but it was GAIS that received a warning when Kenneth Gustafsson picked up a yellow card in the 65th minute. GAIS made another substitution when Malkolm Moenza replaced Ariel Lassiter in the 76th minute.

Varbergs BoIS FC received two yellow cards during the match, the first to Pär Asp in the 78th minute and the second to Thommie Persson in the 88th minute. Despite attempts from both teams to score more goals, the match ended 2-0 in favor of GAIS.

Robert Daradic was the main referee while Andreas Grönman and Julia Magnusson Sandkvist served as assistants during the match. An exciting match where GAIS demonstrated that they are ready to earn points in Superettan.
