Degerfors IF achieved a dominant victory when they faced Ängelholms FF at Stora Valla in a Superettan match that ended 4-0. Niklas Klingberg, Sebastian Castro Tello, and Peter Samuelsson were the heroes for Degerfors, each scoring a goal.
The match started evenly, but it was Degerfors that dominated the play and created chances. After 38 minutes, Niklas Klingberg received a yellow card for the home team. Ängelholm also found themselves in trouble when Björn Westerblad received a yellow card shortly after the halftime break.
However, it was Degerfors that took control of the match in the second half, where all three of the first goals were scored. First, it was Klingberg who sent the ball into the net following a nice play leading up to the goal. Just a few minutes later, it was Sebastian Castro Tello who followed up with a beautiful shot that sailed straight into the goal after a fine pass from Marcus de Bruin.
Ängelholm's attempts to come back into the match bore no fruit, and instead, the team lost more ground. Peter Samuelsson headed the ball into the net after a great pass from Daniel Sundgren, and a few minutes later, Samuelsson did it again, this time with help from Marcus Astvald. Ängelholm received several warnings in an attempt to stop the Degerfors players, but to no avail.
Degerfors’ control of the game led to a convincing 4-0 victory for the team. The spectators at Stora Valla witnessed a Degerfors side that had taken clear command of the game, while Ängelholm struggled to accomplish much on the field. Referee Per Melin maintained a good tone during the match, and the game flowed well despite a few incidents that resulted in yellow cards.
