Östers IF faced Varbergs BoIS FC in front of an audience of 7,133 at Visma Arena in Växjö on Friday evening. Referee Magnus Lindgren was assisted by linesmen Magnus Vallerius and Robin Wilde to maintain order during the match.

Ten minutes into the match, Östers IF took the lead through Alhaji Gero, who was assisted by Andreas Wihlborg. However, Varbergs BoIS FC equalized after half an hour with a goal from Nsima Peter.

But Östers IF would not back down and regained the lead through Alexander Henningsson, who scored his first goal of the season. Gero assisted this goal as well.

Östers IF continued to dominate, and Denis Velic scored a free kick to make it 3-1 for the home team. Varbergs BoIS FC tried to bring in two new faces in Anton Sandberg Magnusson and Arbios Mzi, but it didn’t help.

Gero and Henningsson continued to link up and scored two more goals together. Gero netted his second goal of the match with an assist from Wihlborg, and then Henningsson assisted Josef Elvby, who delivered a fine pass that Henningsson slid into the net.

The match ended with a solid victory for Östers IF at 5-1, and Alhaji Gero was named the player of the match. Östers IF continues to dominate in Superettan and aims for a place in Allsvenskan next season.
