GAIS won 1-0 in a tough match against Degerfors IF at Stora Valla. With an audience of 2,661 people, it was an intense match from start to finish. GAIS was the stronger team from the outset, resulting in a warning for Shkelqim Krasniqi in the 31st minute.

The GAIS bench decided to make a substitution at the end of the first half, when Emil Eliasson replaced Sandip Mankoo. Richard Ntomba Ekunde received a yellow card in the 58th minute, which made the situation even more tense. Bryan Johansson was forced to replace Patrik Ingelsten in the 69th minute, which revitalized GAIS.

Hannes Fritzson replaced Patrik Anttonen in the 89th minute, but GAIS had already resolved to bring home the victory.

In the 90th minute, GAIS earned a corner, and Bryan Johansson managed to head in the only goal of the match. Malkolm Moenza provided the assist, and GAIS was overjoyed. This was GAIS's first victory of the season, giving the team a much-needed boost. The referee blew the final whistle, and the GAIS fans celebrated in the stands.
