It was a battle for points when Degerfors IF faced Ängelholms FF at Stora Valla. Despite the away team sitting at the bottom of the table, Degerfors knew that it would not be an easy match. The home team started strong, and just 33 minutes in, Peter Samuelsson managed to score a goal for Degerfors IF, assisted by Govand Haidar.
However, the joyful home team did not have long to celebrate, as just eleven minutes later, Fredrik Karlsson scored a goal for Ängelholms FF with an assist from Sebastian Carlsen.
The second half was more even, but Degerfors still tried to take control of the match. Tobias Solberg picked up a yellow card after a tough tackle. At the same time, Degerfors made two substitutions in an attempt to change the course of the game.
However, the substitutions did not yield the desired results, and instead, Boris Lumbana received a yellow card after a hard tackle. Degerfors continued to fight, but when Daniels Sundgren received a warning in the 73rd minute, the crowd in the stands knew that the last minutes would be tense.
Ängelholms FF also made a final substitution, bringing on Robin Staaf for Andreas Karlsson in the 80th minute. Degerfors' last substitution, Simon Molander for Peter Samuelsson, would also prove to be decisive.
The match ended in a draw with a score of 1-1, and despite the home advantage, it was not enough for Degerfors IF to climb above the relegation zone. However, Ängelholms FF could be satisfied with a point, which felt like a victory for the battling away team.
