At the well-attended Stora Valla arena in Degerfors, the match kicked off between the home team and Assyriska FF in the Superettan. Despite a balanced start with chances on both sides, it was Degerfors who would gain a decisive advantage in the match. After only seven minutes of play, Peter Samuelsson headed in the opening goal for the home team, assisted by Tobias Solberg.
