Mjällby AIF managed to secure an important victory at home at Strandvallen when they faced IFK Värnamo on Monday evening. The home team started the match strong and just nine minutes into the game, Joel Wedenell found the back of the net, giving Mjällby a 1-0 lead.
However, IFK Värnamo fought on and tried to equalize. In the 62nd minute, they made a substitution, bringing on Issam Jebali for Freddy Winsth. Mjällby also received a warning in the 70th minute when Danny Ervik picked up a yellow card.
