It was a rainy afternoon at Gamla Ullevi when GAIS faced IK Frej Täby in Superettan. The attendance was not impressive with only 1,894 people in the stands, but those who were there were looking forward to an exciting match.

GAIS was the stronger team during the first half, creating several dangerous chances. However, IK Frej Täby held firm and managed to keep a clean sheet thanks to their skilled goalkeeper, Robin Wallinder.

In the second half, the match intensified, and as fiercely contested as it was, it remained goalless. Shortly after the break, Cristoffer Ericson from IK Frej Täby received his first yellow card. Shortly afterward, Patrik Ingelsten was substituted for GAIS and replaced by Francisco Wagsley Rodrigues de Sousa Filho, who immediately created new goal opportunities.

Linus Tornblad also came onto the pitch for GAIS, while Joakim Cadogan stepped aside. Interestingly, it was the same player, Cristoffer Ericson, who received his second yellow card for IK Frej Täby and was sent off with a red card.
