Jönköpings Södra IF achieved an important victory in the chase for a spot in the Allsvenskan 2016 as they defeated Mjällby AIF at home with a score of 2-0. Despite a relatively even first half, it was the home team that went into halftime with a two-goal lead.

Fredrik Olsson was the one who scored both goals, the first in the 14th minute after a nice collaboration with Daryl Smylie. Just three minutes later, Olsson extended the lead by taking advantage of a pass from Tommy Thelin.

Mjällby tried to find their way back into the match during the second half, but Jönköping's defense managed to keep them away from the penalty area. Referee Diako Behnam issued several warnings to both teams, but no more goals were scored.

With this victory, Jönköpings Södra IF maintains its fourth place in the standings, while Mjällby AIF remains in a relegation position. The crowd at Stadsparksvallen witnessed a strong performance from the home team, which hopefully will lead to more victories in the future.
