Påskbergsvallen was packed with 1,467 spectators when Varbergs BoIS FC hosted IK Sirius FK in a crucial Superettan match on Saturday afternoon, October 17th. With both teams closely positioned in the table, an intense match was expected, and both sides showed their best qualities.

The match started brilliantly with a fast pace from both teams trying to create the first chance. However, it didn't take long before the first warning was issued, and it was Varbergs BoIS FC's Robin Tranberg who received it in the 25th minute.

IK Sirius FK had a chance to take the lead from the penalty spot after Varberg defender Karl Söderström suffered an injury and was forced to leave the pitch, but Stefan Silva missed the opportunity, so the score remained 0-0 throughout the first half.

The match shifted a bit when IK Sirius FK's Karl Larson received his second yellow card and was sent off in the 71st minute. Despite being down to 10 men, Stefan Silva managed to put Sirius FK ahead from the penalty spot in the 86th minute.

However, the match took an unexpected twist again in the 90+3 minute when Elias Andersson received his second yellow card and was sent off, or at least it seemed that way until the referee realized there had been a mistake and that Elias should have been awarded a free kick instead of a yellow card at that moment. Elias was allowed to stay on the pitch and even took the free kick that led to the match's goal.

The match thus ended 1-1, sharing points between the teams. Both sides will take it from there and hope for better results in future matches, but it was Varbergs BoIS FC that provided the most dramatic comeback after being threatened with a loss.
