In the 17th minute, GAIS made their first substitution as Kieron Cadogan replaced Luther Singh. Just before halftime, GAIS struck again. A beautiful pass from Patrik Ingelsten reached Linus Tornblad, who managed to head the ball into the net, giving GAIS a two-goal lead heading into the second half.
Syrianska attempted to intensify their attacking play in the second half and made two substitutions in an effort to turn the match around. But it was GAIS that maintained control, and in the 74th minute, Cadogan was there again, putting the ball in the net after receiving a through ball from Ingelsten.
