The first half at Stora Valla featured some chances for both teams, but without any really dangerous shots. Athletic FC United had more ball possession, and it was clear that they wanted to take control of the match.

The second half began with a quick attack from Athletic FC United that led to a goal in the 59th minute. Daniel Jarl headed the ball into the net after a nice pass from Othman El Kabir.

Degerfors IF then made a substitution in hopes of equalizing, but Athletic FC United continued to control the match. In the 76th minute, the away team made a substitution, and Omar Eddahri came on, making a big difference. Just ten minutes later, he helped to extend Athletic FC United's lead after another great pass from El Kabir.

The match ended with some heated duels, and several yellow cards were issued. Athletic FC United ultimately won 2-0 and were able to celebrate a well-deserved victory at Stora Valla.
