IK Sirius FK defeated Halmstad 2-1 after a thrilling match at Studenternas in front of 2,736 spectators. The match couldn't have started better for the visiting team from Halmstad when Sead Haksabanovic scored 0-1 already in the second minute. IK Sirius FK fought to equalize, and it was none other than Christer Gustafsson who did it in the 17th minute after a great setup by Kujtim Bala.

It wasn't until the 41st minute that the next goal arrived, and once again it was IK Sirius FK that scored. Ian Sirelius made it 2-1 after a nice pass from goalscorer Gustafsson, who had been the initiator of both goals.

In the second half, the match remained intense, and Halmstad tried everything to get back into the game. They brought on Alexander Henningsson and Kristoffer Fagercrantz, but it was IK Sirius FK that held firm and maintained their lead.

Halmstad had a chance to equalize in the 90th minute, but it was in vain, and they also received a warning when Alexander Henningsson picked up a yellow card. IK Sirius FK made a substitution in the closing minutes when Nicklas Maripuu replaced Kingsley Kofi Sarfo, and they held on to win the match 2-1. After the victory, IK Sirius FK is now in third place in the standings, while Halmstad is in eleventh place. The match was well played by both teams and provided exciting entertainment for the audience at Studenternas.
