Degerfors and Frej Täby met at Stora Valla in Superettan on Saturday afternoon. Before the match, the visitors were in a higher position in the table, sitting in ninth place, while the home team Degerfors was in thirteenth place.

After eleven minutes of play, Frej Täby broke the deadlock through Joakim Runnemo. The headed goal was a perfect finish following a fine pass from Philip Ellis. With just under a third of the first half remaining, the visitors extended their lead to 2-0 through Oke Akpoveta, who was assisted by Joakim Runnemo.

Degerfors tried to find a way back into the match, but only Nikola Ladan and Mattias Genc managed to get two shots on target against Fredrik Persson in goal for Frej Täby, who maintained the halftime lead.

At the start of the second half, Degerfors reduced the deficit when a Frej Täby player scored an own goal, opening up the match once again. The visitors fought to hold onto their lead, but Degerfors continued to apply pressure and were rewarded when Ludvig Fritzson scored the equalizer with just nine minutes left on the clock. The guests substituted Oke Akpoveta for Lukas Sunesson, while Abu Bakarr Suma came on for Victor Söderström.

In the closing minutes, Degerfors coach Patrik Werner was sent off from the bench after a heated discussion with referee Jim Petersson. The match thus ended 2-2, and neither team left Stora Valla with three points. Frej Täby remains in ninth place in the table, while Degerfors still sits in thirteenth place.
