Trelleborgs FF and Örgryte IS FF faced off at Vångavallen in front of 1,425 spectators on Wednesday evening. Trelleborgs FF, currently in 14th place in the standings, and Örgryte IS FF, sitting in third place.
The match kicked off, and just eleven minutes in, Örgryte took the lead with a penalty goal by Sebastian Ohlsson. However, Trelleborg quickly responded when Mattias Håkansson scored to make it 1-1 in the 22nd minute, assisted by Zoran Jovanovic.
It was a rather tough match with several yellow cards. Marcus Pode scored Trelleborg’s second goal with a header in the 73rd minute, assisted by Kristian Haynes. Örgryte, however, did not give up and managed to equalize two minutes later when Björn Anklev made it 2-2, assisted by David Johansson.
The match ended in a 2-2 draw, and both teams earned a point. Trelleborg continues to fight to climb the standings while Örgryte tries to keep pace with the top teams. Referee Per Melin had a lot to do, issuing several warnings and a red card to Trelleborg's coach Patrick Winqvist in the closing minutes.
