IK Sirius FK was on fire when they faced Degerfors IF at Studenternas in front of nearly 2,000 spectators. The match began with a yellow card for Sirius' Ante Björkebaum, but that didn’t stop the team from taking the lead in the 42nd minute when Johan Andersson put the ball in the net after a nice pass from Dragan Kapcevic. Just two minutes later, it was Björkebaum's turn to score, contributing to Alexander Nilsson's goal to give Sirius a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Degerfors IF tried to change things and made two substitutions at halftime, but it didn’t help against a superior Sirius. Kapcevic scored again in the 49th minute after a headed pass from Kim Skoglund. Johan Andersson was substituted for Jakob Bergman in the 63rd minute, and then Dragan Kapcevic was also substituted for Paul Torres in the 77th minute. However, it didn’t help Degerfors, as Ian Sirelius scored Sirius' fourth goal in the 78th minute with an assist from Torres. Björkebaum scored his second goal of the match in the 81st minute with an assist from Bergman, and Patrick Hopkins finished off by scoring Sirius' sixth goal in the match in the 87th minute.
Lars Olsson was the referee on the field and issued yellow cards to Karl Larson from IK Sirius FK and Degerfors' Tobias Solberg in the 47th minute. The final score of 6-0 was a clear testament to IK Sirius FK's dominance on the pitch and their capacity to score goals.
