On a rainy and windy Saturday afternoon, Degerfors IF faced Assyriska FF at Stora Valla. Despite the poor weather, nearly 1,300 people had made their way to the arena to watch the match.

The game started immediately with a goal from Assyriska FF. After just five minutes of play, Mattias Genc found the net following a nice pass from Tim Waker.

Degerfors IF struggled to get through Assyriska FF’s tough defense. Instead, it was Assyriska that managed to extend their lead with another goal in the 33rd minute. Mamadou Wague headed the ball in after a well-taken corner from Alessandro Silva Pereira.

Before halftime, Degerfors IF made a substitution as Ronny Sabo replaced Tobias Solberg.

The second half continued in the same vein as the first. In the 52nd minute, Assyriska FF scored again, this time from a penalty that Mattias Genc successfully converted.

After the goal, Andreas Holmberg from Degerfors IF received a warning for waving his arms at the referee.

Assyriska FF’s Gustav Jarl was cautioned in the 58th minute, but that didn't stop the team from continuing to apply pressure.

Degerfors IF and Assyriska FF continued to make substitutions throughout the match. Among others, Assyriska FF brought on Daniel Sliper and Aziz Corr Nyang, while Degerfors IF substituted in Emil Johansson and Magnus Solum.

The match ended in a clear victory for Assyriska FF, who needed the points in their struggle to climb up from the bottom of the table. Despite Degerfors IF’s attempts to get back into the game, Assyriska FF was clearly the better team. The final score of 0-3 hopefully gives Assyriska FF a boost of confidence for the remainder of the season.
