Halmstad took the lead in the first half after a fine combination between Alexander Ruud Tveter and Andreas Bengtsson. Tveter received the pass and shot the ball into the net behind Syrianska FC's goalkeeper. After a stellar first half by Halmstad, where the team controlled the game, they went into halftime with a 1-0 lead.

Syrianska FC tried to come back in the second half, resulting in two yellow cards for their players. However, they could not advance their positions and continued to struggle to establish a dangerous attacking front. They made two substitutions, but it was Halmstad that would score the next goal.

Andreas Bengtsson extended Halmstad's lead to 2-0 after a nice pass from Sead Haksabanovic, who saw Bengtsson making a run into the penalty area and delivered a great pass to him.
