In a packed Örjans Vall in Halmstad, the home team and league leaders Halmstad BK faced off against IFK Värnamo. The match was evenly contested at first, and it didn’t take long for Halmstad to take the lead through Alexander Ruud Tveter in the third minute of the match. Just three minutes later, Sead Haksabanovic doubled the lead for the home team. However, IFK Värnamo fought back, and Johan Svahn reduced the score to 2-1 with a free kick in the 20th minute. But Halmstad responded quickly, with Jesper Westerberg making it 3-1 in the 22nd minute. Instead of working their way back into the match, Värnamo lost their grip, and Halmstad continued to dominate the game. Fredrik Olsson scored 4-1 in the 56th minute with a nice pass from Alexander Ruud Tveter. Pär Cederquist managed to make it 4-2 in the 64th minute, but it would prove to be too little, too late, as Alexander Henningsson sealed the deal for Halmstad, scoring 5-2 with just minutes left in the match. The match ended 5-2, and Halmstad remains at the top of the league, while IFK Värnamo must keep fighting to stay in the race at the top of the table.
