Örgryte IS FF managed to secure a hard-fought victory when they faced Degerfors IF away at Stora Valla in an exciting match in Superettan on Saturday. The match ended 3-2 in favor of ÖIS, despite a late equalizer from the home team’s Govand Haidar in the second half.

The match started off intensely, and already in the 20th minute, Örgryte's Hampus Bohman received a yellow card. Shortly after, he was substituted by Hannes Sahlin in the 25th minute, but the change did not seem to disrupt ÖIS's fighting spirit. Instead, the team took the lead in the 36th minute through William Atashkadeh, following a nice through ball from Johan Hammar.

Degerfors IF did not give up without a fight, and after several substitutions and yellow cards for both teams, Ludvig Fritzson managed to equalize to 1-1 in the 59th minute. In the 68th minute, Örgryte regained the lead through newly substituted Martin Kayongo-Mutumba. Despite pressure from Degerfors, the score held firm, and when Andreas Holmberg was substituted in for Degerfors IF in the 76th minute, it seemed like the match would end 2-1.

But Degerfors IF continued to battle, and in the 82nd minute, after a fine pass from Amor Layouni, Govand Haidar equalized with a beautiful header. The crowd cheered, and Degerfors IF's players felt that the match was about to turn. However, Örgryte IS FF had other plans, and just a few minutes later, in the 85th minute, Johan Hammar scored the decisive goal, assisted by Jakob Lindström.

The match ended 3-2 in favor of ÖIS, allowing them to take home three important points to Gothenburg. The attendance at Stora Valla was 2,051, and the referee team of Patrik Eriksson, Mark Josef, and Johan Thalin were kept busy maintaining order among the players.
