The match between Ljungskile SK and IK Sirius FK started evenly, but it was the visiting team that took the lead after just 16 minutes. Dragan Kapcevic scored after a nice assist from Niklas Thor, giving IK Sirius the lead at Skarsjövallen.

Ljungskile SK began to press for an equalizer, but it was instead IK Sirius that increased their lead in the 53rd minute. Ante Björkebaum made it 0-2 after a pass from Kim Skoglund, and Ljungskile now faced a tough uphill battle.

Ljungskile tried to get back into the game by making a couple of substitutions, but IK Sirius defended well. As the match approached its end, Ljungskile grew frustrated, resulting in a yellow card for Yussif Alhassan Chibsah in the 87th minute.
