A lovely Friday evening at Gamla Ullevi as GAIS faced Halmstad in an exciting match in Superettan. A crowd of 1,894 gathered to see two teams battle for important points. Before the match, Halmstad was in third place and GAIS in seventh place in the table.

The match started with a high tempo and both teams created several dangerous chances. In the 33rd minute, GAIS managed to take the lead with a fantastic goal from Johan Ramhorn, assisted by Craig Henderson. Halmstad continued to fight and after a well-placed ball from Sead Haksabanovic, Alexander Ruud Tveter equalized to 1-1 in the 42nd minute.

GAIS regained the lead in the 79th minute through Alibek Aliev, assisted by Dardan Rexhepi. Halmstad tried to equalize, but GAIS's defense and goalkeeper held firm and kept the score unchanged. Despite two warnings for GAIS, one to Steven Old and one to Luther Singh, the guests were unable to find the back of the net.

The match ended 2-1 in favor of GAIS, and the crowd at Gamla Ullevi could rejoice at a well-played match. GAIS earned three important points and climbed the table, while Halmstad dropped in the standings. A strong effort from both teams, but GAIS was the team that came out on top in this match. Referee Jim Petersson and his assistant referees, Robin Wilde and Mark Josef, had complete control over the game and allowed the teams to play fairly.
