The match began with Pär Cederquist scoring the first goal for the visitors after 23 minutes, assisted by Simon Nilsson. Just six minutes later, Cederquist scored his second goal, this time with a header following an assist from Petar Petrovic. IFK Värnamo continued to play strongly, and Petrovic scored his own goal in the 34th minute, giving the team a comfortable 3-0 lead. In the second half, Gefle IF FF substituted Jacob Hjelte and Kwame Bonsu in hopes of changing the situation, but it was too late. Ryan Finley nailed the coffin shut when he scored 5-0 for IFK Värnamo in the 79th minute, assisted by Oscar Johansson Schellhas. Although Gefle IF FF scored two late goals, one a header by Johan Oremo with an assist from Hjelte in the 87th minute, and the other by Oremo again with an assist from Adrian Bjelkendal Haaranen in the 90th minute, it was not enough to save the match for Gefle. Ultimately, IFK Värnamo won this match 5-2, achieving an overwhelming victory over their opponents.
