In Olympia in Helsingborg, Helsingborgs IF and Degerfors IF faced each other today in the Superettan. Before an audience of 6,067 and with Granit Maqedonci as the referee, the match kicked off at 5:00 PM. Both teams displayed open play, but Degerfors IF had to substitute Oscar Klasson as early as the 14th minute in favor of Jesse Öst.

Edwin Gyimah received a warning in the first half, but that did not prevent Helsingborgs IF from extending their lead in the second half. An own goal in the 53rd minute followed by a goal from Max Svensson in the 71st minute allowed Helsingborgs IF to breathe easier and enjoy a 3 - 0 victory. Akpoveta assisted Svensson’s goal.
The match also featured several substitutions, with Max Svensson coming on in the 56th minute for Martin Christensen while Oke Akpoveta was replaced. In the 72nd minute, Helsingborgs IF made another substitution, bringing in Monday Samuel in place of Oke Akpoveta. This was a great victory for Helsingborgs IF, and the team takes home three much-needed points. Degerfors IF, on the other hand, will have to go back to the drawing board and reassess their play ahead of their next match in the Superettan.
