Finally, it was match day at Olympia tonight. Helsingborgs IF faced Syrianska FC in an incredibly exciting match in Superettan. The home team started the match strong and took the lead just two minutes in when Monday Samuel got the ball behind the Syrianska goalkeeper after a nice cross from Martin Christensen. The home crowd sang and danced in the stands.
But Syrianska did not want to give in that easily. After thirty-two minutes of play, Mattias Mete scored the equalizer after a great pass from Charbel Georges. The score was now 1-1, and the match was incredibly even.
As the second half began, it was once again Helsingborgs IF who would score. This time it was Amethyst Bradley Ralani who put the ball in the net, and Helsingborgs now led 2-1. Syrianska fought on but struggled to create any truly dangerous goal-scoring opportunities.
The home team continued to push for a decisive goal, and in the 90+3 minute, Max Svensson was able to score another goal for Helsingborgs, shooting the ball in after a nice pass from Anton Wede. The match ended with a final score of 3-1 in favor of Helsingborgs IF.
Helsingborgs IF climbed to second place in the standings, while Syrianska FC remained in 11th place. It was an exciting match at Olympia with many beautiful goals and fine football, which brought over 6,200 people to the arena to watch the game. We look forward to the upcoming matches in Superettan.
