IFK Värnamo won a tough match against Östers IF with a score of 2-1 at Visma Arena in Växjö.

It started promisingly for the guests when Pär Cederquist scored a header in the 22nd minute. The assist came from Simon Nilsson. After that, there were a few chances for the home team, but IFK Värnamo defended well and kept a clean sheet.

Just before halftime, the visiting team extended their lead further. Melvin Frithzell scored a beautiful goal following a nice pass from Fredrik Lundgren, making it 2-0.

After the break, Östers IF came out strong, and it wasn't long before Lars Mendonca Fuhre, who had just been substituted in, scored a goal from a good pass by a teammate. The score was now 1-2.

However, Östers IF didn’t fully recover to challenge IFK Värnamo. IFK Värnamo had more chances, and both teams made substitutions. A red card for Östers IF in the closing stages made it unnecessarily tough for the home team, which, despite playing well, lost the match 2-1.
