The match was officiated by Antti Kanerva, with Niklas Nyberg and Jonas Bäcklund as assistant referees.

The match started evenly between the teams, and both were eager to take the lead. However, after a little over half an hour, a tough situation arose for the home team as Samuel Leach Holm received a red card, forcing Åtvidabergs FF to play with one man down for the rest of the match.

Shortly after, Östers IF took advantage of the numerical superiority, and David Johannesson scored to make it 0-1, assisted by Lars Mendonca Fuhre. The score held until halftime.

At the beginning of the second half, Åtvidabergs FF made a substitution, bringing on Alberto Catenacci for Simon Marklund. However, it was Östers IF that received the first yellow card of the second half when Jens Jakobsson was cautioned.

But it was Åtvidabergs FF that would find their reward in the 75th minute when Simon Helg scored from a penalty, equalizing to 1-1. Östers IF then received two yellow cards in quick succession as Jonathan Drott and Fritiof Björkén both picked up a yellow card.

Both teams made several substitutions towards the end of the match in an effort to secure a win, but the score remained unchanged until the final whistle. In the last minute of stoppage time, Karl-Johan Lindblad received a caution for Östers IF.

The match ended 1-1, and both teams take home one point each. Although the home team played with one man down for large parts of the match, they were still able to come back and equalize. It was a balanced and exciting match where both teams had chances to score more goals.
