On Monday evening, Trelleborgs FF visited Gavlevallen to face the bottom team Gefle IF FF. The crowd on site was not the largest, with only 1,487 people in the stands, but those who were there were treated to an exciting match. The officiating team consisted of Usman Aslam from Norway and assistant referees Øystein Ytterland and Mark Josef.

The match started evenly, with both teams creating a few half-chances but failing to score. In the 48th minute, Jens Portin from the home team received a yellow card. Ten minutes later, Trelleborgs FF scored the first goal of the match. It was Dino Islamovic who found the back of the net behind Gefle's goalkeeper, assisted by Marcus Pode. Shortly after that, Gefle equalized through Bajram Ajeti, who scored with a header, assisted by Piotr Johansson.

In the 73rd minute, Trelleborgs made their first substitution as Kristian Haynes replaced Marcus Pode. Just three minutes later, Trelleborgs made their second substitution with Albin Nilsson coming on for Mattias Håkansson. Gefle also wanted to make a change, and in the 77th minute, Adam Bergmark Wiberg took the place of Juan Diego Gutierrez De Las Casas. However, in the 78th minute, Piotr Johansson received a yellow card for the home team.

With just over 10 minutes left in the match, Trelleborgs scored what would turn out to be the final goal of the game. Alexander Blomqvist, who had recently come onto the field, headed the ball in, assisted by Erik Andersson. Gefle desperately tried to equalize towards the end but failed to do so. Therefore, it was Trelleborgs who took home the victory away from home, leaving Gefle at the bottom of the table while they remained in a solid third place.
