Already after nine minutes of play, the away team took the lead through Bajram Ajeti, who also scored Gefle's second goal in the 20th minute with a fine shot from outside the box. Falkenberg struggled to assert themselves, and in the 38th minute, Adam Bergmark Wiberg headed in the third goal after a pass from Jonas Lantto. Gefle continued their dominant performance, and Ajeti received a yellow card in the 59th minute. Falkenberg attempted a substitution, bringing on Enock Kwakwa for Richard Donkor in the 61st minute, but it did not help. In the 89th minute, Gefle made their final substitution, bringing in René Makondele Muzola for Christian Ljungberg. However, it was Jacob Hjelte who decided the match by scoring Gefle’s fourth goal with a nice pass from Piotr Johansson in the 90th minute.
