Örgryte IS FF secured a much-needed victory when they faced Syrianska FC at home on Sunday. In front of a crowd of 1,323 at Gamla Ullevi, Örgryte took the initiative from the start, and already in the seventh minute, Samuel Akintioye received a yellow card for Syrianska.
Syrianska attempted to fight their way back into the match with two substitutions shortly before halftime, but it was Örgryte who opened the scoring just before the halftime break. William Atashkadeh scored Örgryte's first goal, which also became the halftime score.
In the second half, Örgryte continued to dominate, and in the 63rd minute, Daniel Sliper made it 2-0 after a nice assist from Daniel Paulson. William Atashkadeh then scored his second goal of the night in the 66th minute after a pass from Hakeem Araba.
However, Örgryte lost a few players who received yellow cards during the match, including Hannes Sahlin, who received a yellow card in the 70th minute. Syrianska attempted to increase the tempo of the game with yet another substitution, bringing on Mattias Mete for star forward Charbel Georges. But they were unable to score, and the match ended 3-0 in favor of Örgryte.
This was a significant match for Örgryte, allowing the team to move two steps up in the table, while Syrianska must look ahead and continue to fight to climb out of the relegation battle.
