Match in Superettan 2017
Match start: 2017-09-23 at 16:00
Venue: Påskbergsvallen
Attendance: 1,373

Påskbergsvallen was yesterday the venue for a Superettan match between Varbergs BoIS FC and league leaders Dalkurd. Before the match, the home team BoIS was in eleventh place in the table while Dalkurd was at the top. Referee Nermin Cisic kicked off the match at 16:00 in front of an audience of 1,373 spectators.

The match was fiercely contested from the start, and by the ninth minute, the referee had shown the yellow card to Dalkurd's Henrik Löfkvist Jacobsson. In the 50th minute, Dalkurd's Alexander Ray De John was sent off after receiving his second yellow card. Varbergs BoIS took advantage of the numerical advantage, and in the 65th minute, Jakob Olsson jumped up and headed in the ball for the home team, with Karl Söderström providing the assist. Dalkurd fought to equalize, but in the 67th minute, Robin Tranberg also received a yellow card.

Dalkurd attempted to bring on Predrag Randelovic in the 67th minute to secure an equalizer, but it wasn't until the 72nd minute that Ahmed Awad came onto the field instead of Richard Yarsuvat. Throughout the rest of the match, Dalkurd desperately tried to create chances, but BoIS held firm and won the match 1-0.

BoIS’s Anton Liljenbäck and Oliver Silverholt received yellow cards in the 74th and 78th minutes, respectively, but that was not enough for Dalkurd to win. Joakim Lindner was substituted in for Joel Palmquist in the 83rd minute, and in the 87th minute, Dalkurd tried to substitute Mohamed Bangura for Yukiya Sugita. However, this also failed to produce any goals, and in the 89th minute, the home team made their final substitution when Eric Nilsson came on for Karl Söderström.

In the end, it was a well-played match by both teams, but Varbergs BoIS FC managed to secure the victory after a long battle on the field.
