It was a sunny but cool Saturday afternoon at Påskbergsvallen when Varbergs BoIS FC faced Åtvidabergs FF in a Superettan match in front of an audience of 1,410 spectators. Referee Robert Daradic and his assistants Magnus Vallerius and Andreas Svensson were ready to officiate the match.
Just ten minutes in, Åtvidaberg's Adrian Petersson received a yellow card, and a few minutes later, Fredrik Holster followed suit. Thomas Boakye from Varbergs BoIS FC received a yellow card in the 28th minute, and Lucas Öhrn from Åtvidabergs FF got his yellow in the 35th minute.
But the goals took their time to arrive, until the 43rd minute when Jakob Olsson from Varbergs BoIS FC scored from a penalty after a foul in the penalty area. The second half offered better play from the home team, and in the 66th minute, Gabriel Altemark Vanneryr managed to head the ball into the net after a nice pass from Karl Söderström.
In the 71st minute, Varbergs BoIS FC substituted Christoffer Arvidsson for Joakim Lindner. Åtvidabergs FF tried to put pressure on the home team and brought in Marijan Cosic in the 74th minute in an effort to reduce the deficit alongside Pekka Lagerblom. However, it was Varbergs BoIS FC who scored their third goal through Peter Nyström in the 82nd minute, following a beautiful pass from Gustav Berggren.
In the 83rd minute, Åtvidabergs FF substituted Teddy Bergqvist for Nils Fröling. Varbergs BoIS FC brought in Joel Palmquist and Oliver Stanisic in the 86th minute, while Gabriel Altemark Vanneryr left the field to rest for the next match.
The match ended 3-0 in favor of Varbergs BoIS FC, and the crowd at Påskbergsvallen cheered as the final whistle blew. A well-deserved victory for the home team, who played an impressive second half and took all three points.
