It was a well-attended match at Visma Arena in Växjö when Östers IF hosted IK Brage in Superettan on Sunday. Östers started the match strongly, with David Johannesson scoring 1-0 already in the twelfth minute with a fine shot from the edge of the penalty area.
Brage fought hard but struggled to create goal-scoring opportunities, while Östers had several dangerous chances during the first half. However, just before halftime, the match took a turn when Oliver Silverholt was sent off after a tough tackle, leaving Östers to play the rest of the match with one man down.
In the second half, Brage continued to apply pressure while Östers tried to hold on. But it was Östers that encountered an unfortunate situation when a defensive intervention resulted in an own goal, equalizing the match.
Brage smelled blood and kept pushing forward. After a great pass from Benjamin Hjertstrand, Simon Alexandersson scored the go-ahead goal for the away team in the 83rd minute. Östers desperately tried to equalize but failed to create any dangerous shots, and the match ended 1-2 in favor of IK Brage.
A tough defeat for Östers, who were down a man for a long time, but Brage showed tactical skill as they turned the game around and won.
