Örgryte IS FF faced Gefle IF FF at home at Gamla Ullevi in an exciting Superettan match on Friday evening. In front of a crowd of 2,591 spectators, referee Johan Krantz and his assistants Jonas Bäcklund and Magnus Vallerius took control of the match.
The match started with a warning to Gefle IF FF’s number 8, Christian Ljungberg, in the 9th minute. However, it wasn't until the 29th minute that Örgryte IS FF received their first warning, as number 20, Diego Montiel, found himself in the referee's notebook.
In the 30th minute, Örgryte IS FF took the lead through Montiel, who converted a penalty. Gefle IF FF, however, responded in the 35th minute when Piotr Johansson also scored from the penalty spot, equalizing to 1-1.
Before halftime, Gefle IF FF’s number 14, Fitim Kastrati, received a warning before being substituted by Adam Bergmark Wiberg in the 45th minute.
In the second half, Gefle IF FF received several warnings - Samuel Gussman in the 48th minute, Jesper Björkman in the 55th minute, and Erik Törnros in the 68th minute. In the 62nd minute, we saw a substitution from Gefle IF FF as Jesper Florén came on for Kastrati.
Montiel once again proved to be Örgryte IS FF's leading scorer as he converted another penalty in the 54th minute, putting them back in the lead.
In the 75th minute, Örgryte IS FF made a substitution, bringing in Gustav Ludwigson for Alibek Aliev. Two substitutions occurred in the 79th minute as Danny Ervik and Simon Nilsson replaced David Engström and Jens-Lys Michel Cajuste.
In the 83rd minute, Daniel Paulson scored the decisive goal for Örgryte IS FF with an assist from Nilsson, making the final score 3-1. The final substitution came in the 84th minute when Jacob Hjelte replaced Erik Törnros for Gefle IF FF.
In the end, it was Örgryte IS FF who claimed the victory at home.
