It was a chilly evening at Borlänge Energi Arena when IK Brage faced Falkenbergs FF in a match that would prove to be very exciting. Both teams delivered an offensive game right from the start, and it didn’t take long before the home team found success. After just one minute of play, Simon Stenberg connected with Simon Alexandersson, who found the back of the net, putting Brage ahead 1-0.
However, the visitors were not discouraged by the early setback and continued to push forward. But Brage's goalkeeper, Gustaf Norlin, stood firm between the posts and kept a clean sheet. Instead, it was Brage who scored again after 40 minutes. Oscar Lundin received a nice pass from Stenberg and slotted the ball into the net. It was 2-0 to the home team, and the crowd in the stands erupted in cheers.
Falkenberg's Per Karlsson then received a yellow card before Tobias Helldén managed to reduce the deficit with his goal in the 45+2 minute. With the score at 2-1 at halftime, the match was far from decided, and Falkenberg continued to apply pressure in the second half. It didn’t take long for Anton Wede to equalize at 2-2 in the 55th minute, and just a few minutes later, Robin Östlind was substituted out for Erik Pärsson in the visiting team.
Pärsson made an immediate impact, scoring Falkenberg's go-ahead goal in the 71st minute after a fine assist from Chisom Egbuchunam. Now it was Brage's turn to bring in some fresh legs with Erik Nilsson and Samuel Aziz, but it didn't help as Erik Pärsson was quick to find the net again, scoring his second goal of the match in the 85th minute.
With only three minutes left on the clock, IK Brage had a glimmer of hope when Falkenberg's defender accidentally put the ball into his own net, reducing the score to 3-4. However, it was not enough to secure any points, and the match ended 4-3 in favor of the visiting guests from Falkenberg. Referee Jonas Karlsson blew the final whistle, and the audience witnessed an exciting encounter where both teams put on a great display.
