Halmstad emerged victorious against IFK Värnamo at Finnvedsvallen after taking the lead as early as the fifth minute through Gabriel Gudmundsson, assisted by Höskuldur Gunnlaugsson. However, Värnamo was not to be outdone, and Alexander Achinioti Jönsson equalized to 1-1 in the 18th minute.
