On Sunday evening, GAIS and IK Frej Täby faced off in an exciting Superettan match at Gamla Ullevi. Expectations were high, and the attendance rose to 2020 people when the match got underway.

Referee Jonas Karlsson blew the whistle to start the match, and it didn't take long before the first yellow card was issued to IK Frej's Adam Gradén in the 23rd minute. However, it was IK Frej who took the lead when Joakim Runnemo scored the first goal of the match in the 45th minute. The first half ended with IK Frej Täby leading 1-0.

But GAIS would prove to be the stronger team in the second half. Jesper Jonasson Westermark headed in the equalizer for GAIS in the 46th minute, assisted by Carl Wede. GAIS then brought in Erik Kembel Westermark in the 60th minute to give the team more energy.

IK Frej substituted Amadou Jawo for Alfred Sigemo in the 61st minute. GAIS made two additional substitutions, with Edin Hamidovic coming on for Dusan Djuric in the 69th minute and Andreas Brinkeborn Östling replacing Ajdin Zeljkovic in the 78th minute.

It was Hamidovic who would secure the victory for GAIS. He scored a penalty in the 82nd minute, marking his second goal in a row. IK Frej tried to equalize but it proved to be too late, and the match ended with GAIS winning 2-1.

IK Frej's Alie Sesay received a red card in the 82nd minute after a hard tackle, and Mattias Bouvin was substituted for Joseph Ceesay in the 85th minute. Luca Gerbino Polo was also brought in for Amadeus Sögaard in the same minute, but unfortunately, IK Frej could not turn the match around.

GAIS displayed a strong second half and managed to win against a tough IK Frej Täby. It was an exciting match for the 2020 spectators at Gamla Ullevi.
