Degerfors IF got off to a dream start in the match against IFK Värnamo when Erik Björndahl scored in the 16th minute. Sargon Abraham provided the assist, and just seven minutes later, he himself extended the lead to 2-0, assisted by Nikola Ladan.

IFK Värnamo tried to get back into the match and made two substitutions at halftime, but it was instead Degerfors IF that continued to dominate. Henrik Castegren scored the goal for 3-0 in the 60th minute, and just eight minutes later, Erik Björndahl netted his second goal of the day, increasing the lead to 4-0, assisted by Christoffer Wiktorsson.

IFK Värnamo eventually managed to score a consolation goal when Pär Cederquist found the net in the 76th minute, assisted by Daniel Ask. But it was not enough to catch up with Degerfors IF, who won the match 4-1.
