GAIS delivered an impressive performance against Norrby IF in the latest Superettan match at Gamla Ullevi. The attendance was relatively low, with only 1,684 people witnessing the match, but those who were present saw a strong GAIS team that managed to win 4-1 against Norrby IF.
The match started slowly, but during the first half, Andreas Brinkeborn Östling scored with a header in the 25th minute, setting the tone for the rest of the game. Edin Hamidovic assisted Östling and would later score a goal from a penalty in the 57th minute.
The second half was more dramatic with the ejection of Norrby IF's manager, Mak Lind, shortly after the kickoff. Later, Andreas Brinkeborn Östling scored another goal in the 62nd minute, increasing GAIS's lead to 3-0.
However, Norrby IF showed some signs of life when Nicklas Savolainen scored in the 63rd minute, assisted by Adam Eriksson. This, however, was not enough to turn the match, and Ajdin Zeljkovic sealed the final result at 4-1 for GAIS in the 88th minute, assisted by Johan Svahn.
The crowd was, of course, very pleased with GAIS's performance, and the match ended without any further significant events or goals for either team. GAIS continues to fight in Superettan, and this impressive victory helped them increase their points tally to 8th place in the table.
