On a rainy and cold Monday evening, Gefle IF FF and IK Brage faced off at Gavlevallen, in front of a crowd of 1,579 people. Referee Johan Krantz and his assistant referees Mesud Broström Kahrimanovic and Julia Magnusson Sandkvist were present to officiate the Superettan match.
Already after one minute into the match, IK Brage was reduced to ten men following the dismissal of coach Klebér Saarenpää. Despite this, the visitors managed to take the lead in the twelfth minute through Christian Kouakou, assisted by Kristian Andersen.
