Östers IF hosted IK Frej Täby in a Superettan match at Visma Arena in Växjö on Monday evening. The match attracted an audience of 2,123 people, with Fredrik Klitte serving as the main referee, assisted by Pär Leek and Andreas Svensson.

The match started slowly, and neither team created any dangerous goal-scoring opportunities during the first half. Instead, the focus was on the yellow cards, with one each for Fredrik Lundgren from Östers IF and David Zlotnik from IK Frej Täby.

The second half began with a substitution from Östers IF, where Mattias Pavic replaced Carl Johansson. Östers continued to press on, and the substitutions of Anton Andreasson and Pavic brought fresh legs and vigor to the home team.

However, in the 68th minute, David Zlotnik was given his second yellow card after receiving his first for a tackle in the first half. Zlotnik had to leave the field early and was replaced by Rebin Asaad. Luca Gerbino Polo also exited the field in the 75th minute, replaced by Andreas Bellander.

It wasn’t until the last few minutes that the match came to life. In the 87th minute, Simon Helg played a long ball to Mattias Pavic, who controlled it and struck it hard into the net, giving Östers IF a 1-0 lead. IK Frej Täby tried desperately to equalize, but it was Östers IF who struck again. In the 88th minute, Anton Andreasson sent a long pass to Helg, who lobbed the ball over the goalkeeper and into the net, giving Östers IF a comfortable 2-0 lead.

Östers IF could have scored more, but Mario Vasilj, who replaced Helg, could not find the back of the empty net after a nice pass from Pavic. The match ended 2-0 in favor of Östers IF, who are now in fourth place in the table, while IK Frej Täby sits in tenth place.
