A dramatic match was played at Visma Arena in Växjö when Östers IF hosted Falkenbergs FF in Superettan. In front of a crowd of 2,352, it was the home team that started best and created chances going forward. However, it was the guests from Falkenberg who had the chance to take the lead with a penalty after a careless tackle by Anton Andreasson in the Östers box. Karl Söderström, however, was off target and the goalkeeper saved the penalty.
Instead, it was Falkenberg's Robin Östlind who would become the first goalscorer of the match after a fine individual effort that resulted in a precise finish into the goalkeeper's right corner. But Östers would not give up, fighting to score two goals before the second half was even underway. First, it was Dragan Kapcevic who netted the team's first goal with the help of a nice pass from Simon Helg and then it was Kapcevic again who found the net with a fine header following a free-kick cross from Filip Örnblom.
But Falkenbergs FF would not give up and fought their way to an equalizer with a great combination between Karl Söderström and Robin Östlind, where Söderström finished with a confident shot. A couple of minutes later, it was Christoffer Carlsson who became the match hero, scoring the 3-2 for the away team with yet another fine pass from Söderström.
Östers IF desperately tried to find an equalizer, but Falkenberg's defense held firm and secured the three points away from home. The match ended with a yellow card for Liridon Silka of the home team. A strong performance from Falkenbergs FF, who continue their good form in Superettan and are now in the upper part of the table.
