It was an exciting match between Varbergs BoIS FC and Gefle IF FF at Påskbergsvallen in Superettan. The match started intensely, and already in the fourth minute, the Gävle team took the lead through Admir Bajrovic, assisted by Adam Bergmark Wiberg. Varberg fought hard, and in the 32nd minute, they managed to equalize through Perparim Beqaj, with an assist from Nahom Girmai Netabay.

After a nervous first half with several yellow cards, including a red card for Gefle IF FF's Netan Sansara in the 17th minute, the score was 1-1 as the teams went into the break.
