It was a sizzling hot match between IF Brommapojkarna and Västerås SK FK at Grimsta IP 1. Both teams were hungry for victory, but it was Västerås that took control early in the game. After 23 minutes, Simon Johansson found Stefan Batan, who easily scored to make it 0-1 for the visitors.

However, IF Brommapojkarna did not give up and continued to press for an equalizer. It would take until the 43rd minute before the home team could break out and celebrate. Fritiof Björkén found Alexander Nilsson, who then set up the equalizer. 1-1 on the board and full throttle at Grimsta IP.

The second half was just five minutes old when Västerås took the tactics back into their own hands. A hard tackle from IF Brommapojkarna resulted in an important free kick for Västerås, and after a nice cross from Filip Tronét, it was Johansson who scored the second goal for the guests.

The atmosphere became tense at Grimsta IP as the home team pressed for an equalizer, but Västerås held strong and had several good counterattack opportunities towards the end of the match. With the victory, Västerås SK FK was very pleased to have secured three points in their away debut of the Superettan 2019.
