Degerfors IF put in a strong performance against Syrianska FC in the latest Superettan match on Sunday afternoon. Initially, Syrianska seemed to have good control of the game, but Degerfors showed strength and took the lead with a penalty by Nikola Ladan after just nine minutes. Syrianska quickly responded with a goal from Mauricio Albornoz Inola thanks to an assist from Matias Cahais.
However, Degerfors was not easily deterred, and Rasmus Alm scored two quick goals in the 19th and 24th minutes, giving Degerfors a very favorable 3-1 lead. Syrianska made two substitutions in an attempt to improve their chances, but they could not get closer to their opponents. Furthermore, Degerfors rewarded themselves with their fourth goal, scored by Erik Björndahl after 81 minutes. Syrianska received a yellow card for Patrick Dyrestam in the 78th minute and substituted him for Georg Makdesie.
Degerfors played excellently, and their defense was very well organized. While Syrianska made a couple of attempts on goal in the second half, nothing really came close to going in. Degerfors substituted a few players late in the match, but that didn’t hinder their 4-1 victory and their fourth consecutive win. The match drew an attendance of 1,683 and was officiated by referee Fredrik Hansson along with assistant referees Daniel Yng and Conny Hugman. Degerfors celebrated a much-needed victory, while Syrianska will return to the drawing board and try to figure out what can be done to improve the team.
