Match Report:

On Saturday afternoon, Halmstad faced Degerfors IF at Örjans Vall in front of a crowd of 1,618 spectators. Halmstad, sitting second to last in the standings, was facing an important match to improve their position. Degerfors IF, on the other hand, was in sixth place in the table and hoped for a win to move up in the league standings.

The game started evenly, with both teams having chances to score. However, it was Halmstad who took the lead in the ninth minute, thanks to Dusan Djuric who scored from a free kick. Halmstad continued to press forward and in the fifteenth minute, Rasmus Wiedesheim-Paul scored after a nice assist from Thomas Boakye, giving Halmstad a 2-0 lead.

Degerfors IF tried to come back into the match and made a substitution in the fiftieth minute, when Joel Okon Daniel was replaced by Nikola Ladan. But Halmstad continued to dominate the game, and the substitution of Erik Ahlstrand for Gabriel Gudmundsson in the fortieth minute gave Halmstad even more energy.

Degerfors IF then made another substitution in the sixty-fourth minute when Erik Grandelius replaced Joel Okon Daniel, but Halmstad kept controlling the match with both quality and quantity. The seventy-fifth minute brought the final goal of the match, as Erik Ahlstrand scored Halmstad's third goal.

After the third goal, Halmstad continued to push forward while Degerfors IF tried to create something creative, but Halmstad closed out the match and created additional chances, including a nice shot from Alexander Berntsson. Degerfors IF's Daniel Janevski received a yellow card in the eightieth minute, and the substitution of Emil Portén for Axel Lindahl a minute later could not salvage the situation for Degerfors IF.

The match ended with a 3-0 victory for Halmstad, which provided them with a much-needed win and improved their position in the standings. Degerfors IF, on the other hand, missed the chance to advance in the league but remains near the top of the table.
